
The Brown PTO is excited to offer after school workshops for students this winter. These activities are a great way to participate in a fun and enriching activity with friends. Sign Ups will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis on Sign Up Genius. Please note that payment will be collected via Sign-Up Genius. The fee for each workshop goes towards compensating the instructors, with a percentage going directly back to the PTO to support Brown School. Creative Writing Club with Mrs. Secondino: Mondays 3-4pm
Cost and Session Dates: $80 for 5 weeks.
Meets February 24th, March 3rd, March 10th, March 24th, March 31st
Description: Do you love to write? Join the Creative Writing Club! In this club we will learn to write stories in a unique and imaginative way! You will be encouraged to use your imagination to create characters, settings and plots for your stories.

Indoor Soccer Skills with Mr. Estrada: Mondays 3–4pm OR Thursdays 3-4pm
Each session is a separate sign up and cost. Cost is $80 for 5 weeks
Monday session meets: February 24th, March 3rd, March 10th, March 24th, March 31st
Thursday session meets: February 20th, March 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th
Description: This fun indoor soccer club will focus on ball control; reception, dribble and passing. This modality offers participants to experience a fast pace version of soccer where skills are put in place in both set-up and freestyle game situations, giving participants an opportunity to practice and perform the skills learned.

Agility and Conditioning with PEAK Performance Physical Fitness of Madison: Tuesdays 3-4pm
Cost and Session Dates: $100 for 5 weeks.
Meets February 25th, March 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th
Description: This class is taught by a certified personal trainer from Peak Physical Fitness in Madison. Participants will practice and apply various skills to improve agility and strength. A great way to get some energy out after school!
Seasonal Ceramics Painting Series with The Giggling Pig of Guilford: Wednesdays 3-4pm
Cost and Session Dates: $110 for 5 weeks.
Meets February 19th, March 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th
Description: Each week students will paint and decorate a seasonal ceramic to take home. Students use acrylic paint so please “dress for a mess”. Aprons will also be provided.
Book Club with Brown Librarian Meghan Foster: Wednesdays 3 – 4 pm
Cost and Session Dates: $80 for 5 weeks.

Description: Join Brown’s Library Media Specialist Meghan Foster for an exciting book club where students will dive into James Ponti’s Sherlock Society, unraveling its clever puzzles and thrilling mysteries. The cost of the workshop includes a copy of the book and light peanut-free snacks (i.e. popcorn/pretzels).
Adventures in Art with Ellen Greenberg: Thursdays 3-4pm
Cost and Session Dates: $80 for 5 weeks.
Meets February 20th, March 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th
Description: Join Ellen Greenberg in this hands-on arts and crafts workshop where students will engage in a variety of artistic activities including drawing, collage, watercolor paint and more! Explore colors, textures and techniques while creating unique masterpieces!
Painting with the Masters with Kristen Skonieczny: Thursdays 3-4pm
Cost and Session Dates: $100 for 5 weeks.
Meets March 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th and April 3rd
Description: Students will learn to "Paint like the Masters!" in this fun painting workshop. For students who love art and love painting, instructor Kristen Skonieczny will lead a new painting each week based on the work of famous artists.
Chess Club with Ani Deshpande of Shoreline Chess: Fridays 3-4pm
Cost and Session Dates: $90 for 5 weeks.
Meets February 21st and 28th, March 7th, 14th and 21st
Description: Taught by Dr. Deshpande, a US Chess Federation certified Chess Coach, assisted by Bonnie Mackenzie. No previous experience required. Chess is a great way to improve problem solving skills & foster creative and critical thinking skills! Travel chess sets are available to purchase for $10 and are highly recommended so students can bring them to the workshop each week!
