The Brown PTO is excited to offer after school workshops for students this Spring. These activities are a great way to participate in a fun and enriching activity with friends. Sign Ups will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis on Sign Up Genius. Please note that payment will be collected via Sign-Up Genius. The fee for each workshop goes towards compensating the instructors, with a percentage going directly back to the PTO to support Brown School. Co-Ed Basketball with Isaac Boyle: Mondays 3-4pm
Cost and Session Dates: $90 for 6 weeks. Meets on 4/15, 4/22, 4/29, 5/6, 5/13, 5/20
Description: Come have fun on the court with Coach Boyle! No previous basketball experience necessary. Will take place in the gym and outdoor basketball courts (weather permitting).
Improv Theater with Ciro T. Falanga: Meets Mondays 3-4 PM
Cost and Session Dates: $90 for 6 weeks. Meets on 4/15, 4/22, 4/29, 5/6, 5/13, 5/20
Description: Students will participate in Improv games, miming games, skit creation and practicing miming and expression!
Painting with the Masters with Kristen Skonieczny: Mondays 3-4pm
Cost and Session Dates: $65 for 3 weeks. Meets on 4/15, 4/22, 4/29
Description: Students will learn to "Paint like the Masters!" in this fun painting workshop. For students who love art and love painting, instructor Kristen Skonieczny will lead a new painting each week based on the work of famous artists.
Yoshi & Other Fun Games with Isaac Boyle: Tuesdays 3-4pm
Cost and Session Dates: $90 for 6 weeks. Meets on Tuesdays 4/23, 4/30, 5/14, 5/21, 5/28, 6/4
Description: Join friends to play the popular game “Yoshi” as well as other fun games such as kickball and wiffleball (Coach Boyle also open to suggestions on games to play!)
Taylor Swift Album Cover Painting Series with The Giggling Pig: Wednesdays 3-4pm
Cost and Session Dates: $110 for 4 weeks. Meets on Wednesdays 4/17, 4/24, 5/1 and 5/8
Description: The Giggling Pig of Guilford is offering a 4-week Taylor Swift Album cover workshop. Each week, artists will be painting a Taylor Swift album cover on a 12” square canvas. We will be painting 1989, Folklore, Lover and Speak Now. Students will use acrylic paint so please dress for a mess.
Tiger Troupe Props Crew with Carissa Connell Wednesdays 3-4 pm
Cost and Session Dates: $90 for 5 weeks. Meets on 4/17, 4/24, 5/1, 5/8, 5/15. Performance is May 17th.
Description: Have you ever wanted to be a part of theater, but don’t like being on stage? Help make props, scenery, and behind the scenes needs for our Tiger Troupe. We will sculpt, paint, and create items they could use to bring the show to life.
Agility and Conditioning with PEAK Performance Therapy & Wellness: Mondays 3-4pm
Cost and Session Dates: $120 for 6 weeks. Meets on 4/19, 4/26, 5/3, 5/10, 5/17, 5/24
Description: This class is taught by a certified personal trainer from Peak Physical Therapy in Madison. Participants will practice and apply various skills to improve agility and strength.
